i still have to get used to poly life. first day we just had 2 hours of pc orientation and we were dismissed after that.okay so far the lectures are alright,but kinda mundane.felt so sleepy for some of the lectures,like organic chemistry with mrs usha talking.argh.i dont even understand what the heck she was talking about because of her funny accent.sigh.it's even worst when the lectures are shown through televesion. ohh and guess what? i have to study mathematics and statistics.EEEEEE.there's A maths in it.IM SO DOOMED. there is this lecturer who keeps saying 'ahh' at the end of each sentence.cracks me up everytime he does that.oh well.it keeps me from being dead bored anyway. it is such a confusion everytime we go for lectures because we dont even know which lecture theatre we're supposed to be in.lol.but we managed to find the right one in the end.haha.for every lecture the lecturers will never fail to stress on the assesment scheme.it's stressing seriously.if i fail one subject i have to retake it for one whole semester.bloody hell.this really sucks.i'll have to be a nerd again starting the second week of school till exams are over. i love infotech/applied science school's cafeteria.it's like banquet.everything is halal.plus,it's air-conditioned.hehh. a walk to remember is one of the best shows ive seen so far.there is no word to describe how good that show is.it can really leave an emotional impact on someone.i can watch it ten times a day and not get sick of it at all.hehh.those who haven watch it,get the dvd or something.it's really worth it. i miss my old schoolmates/band mates.sigh. love is always patient and kind it is never jealous love is never boastful nor conceded it is never rude nor selfish it does not take offense and is not resentful love takes no pleasure in other people's sins,the delights and truth it is always ready to excuse,to trust,to hope and to endure whatever comes. tp orientation was a total blast (: okay first day of orientation i was kinda scared of course.but it all turned out alright.first thing we had to do was meet at the lecture theatre at the concourse level of applied science school.sat beside faiza.she was so bloody enthusiastic sia.hahaha.then they briefed us on some stuffs.their theme was the underworld.applied science school were vampires.jeez.lol.shingo was my orientation leader!hehh.he's damn nice.anyway after that played games like break the ice and all.lunch on the first day sucked.AA14 only has 3 guys.lol.ms quek is my mentor.she's very nice but too bad she's not one of my lecturers. second day of orientation: gathered at the sports complex.they taught us tp's mass dance which was really cute.it's a guy and girl dance.anyway we did the mass dance till 11.eileen(another one of my ols)told us that we had to dance with chemical engineering guys since my class had loads of girls but in the end we just partnered each other.haha.ohh there was the chicky dance too.it was damn fun (: we had more games after that.lunch wasnt as bad as the day before.anyways,shingo told us that he wont be seeing us on the third day of orientation and that he can only see us during second semester due to his attachment.after debrief we stayed back for awhile because he wanted to talk to us.the most shocking thing happened.shingo cried.(he's not a sissy,mind you)he was like trying to hold back the tears.i nearly cried seeing him cry.it was kinda brave of him.i mean how often can you see a guy cry right?it's really amazing how we bond so fast with him.had photo taking session before we all headed home. third day of orientation: took part in great battle.theodore pack had to attack fianna,silver fang and ventrue's big lolipop.the lolipop was made up of wrapped newspapers.there were 4 defenders who had to defend the lolipop from being hit by the waterbombs.theodore lost.our lolipop were so ruined.lol.nobody helped us fill the pail with water so we didnt have enough waterbombs to hit the other lolipops.fianna won since their lolipops werent destroyed until so terok like theodores one.lol.ventrue won for the most united group.AF14 won for best class and AA15 won for the most number of recycled items they had.anyways after that we headed to the sports complex for the telematch.i have to say that the games were creatively planned.AS came in second last.haiyo.lol.i pity engineering school.haha.the deejay was like saying 'engines come on what happen to you guys? do you need more solar power to cheer louder'(the weather wasnt too good since it was drizzling for awhile)hehh.the deejay's cool.business school won for the telematches. after that we went to bedok reservoir for tp's regatta championship.it was fun watching the different schools battle each other in dragonboat.AS won for one of the races.got a second for another one.it was so close to beating business school's boat.but for the other races AS either got 3rd or 4th.business school won for regatta.there was a stage set up for the cheerleading competition.surprisingly infotech won that competition.it was damn funny.they took other schools cheer and in the end they said it's alright because we cut and paste.bloody cute.hahaha.overall business school won.sadly AS didnt win anything but its alright.went back to the lecture theatre for debrief.got my timetable and matric card too.my timetable sucks.the latest i end is at 6.and friday is like lecture day.the whole day are just lectures and lectures.no tutorials/lab.how nice.but the good thing is,school starts at 9 everday except for friday which starts at 1 and ends at 4.hehh.anyways when they had debrief,shingo came!!hehh.my class went mad when he entered the lecture theatre.it turns out that he didnt have to go for attachment that day due to some stuff.after debrief we stayed back for awhile.shingo bought us cakes from royal.(: i didnt stay for jam and hop since it ends at 11 plus. went for work in the morning just now.ended at 5.luckily i didnt have to do CSR.amjad wanted me to but i talked my way out of it.lol.it was alright except for some funny shit that happened in the kitchen.it was funny but kinda embarrasing.it was actually more embarrasing for ahmar.lol.my managers can be really crazy sometimes. i wanna go shopping.need more more and more clothes.i hope mom can bring me shopping tmr or something (: Wednesday, April 19, 2006
went to temasek poly just now in the afternoon to send my second appeal.lol.my mum still wants me to try it although there is little chance of me getting hospitality and tourism management.oh well.she always say 'no harm trying'.lol.HAIYO.but i know obviously cant get it already because its full.just did that to please my mum,or else she wont stop pestering me to try appealing again. had a haircut after that.it was alright i guess.kinda like my old hairstyle with the short ponytail but this time it's a little longer.had dinner and walked around pw before heading home. orientation will commence in a few more hours.AHHHH.im feeling all jittery and there's butterflies in my stomach.i really hope things turn out alright.IM BLOODY SCARED right now.i hope they dont make us do stupid stuff and make a fool of ourselves,like dancing infront of everyone.jeez.shu jun gets to escape from the outdoor games.NOT FAIR!!lol.i dont think ive got the mood to go play outdoor games.sigh.im meeting her before reporting time.at least there's someone i know in the same course.i better go to bed now or else im gonna wake up late and never be early like usual.hehh.anyways,wish me luck (: i miss you terribly ): Monday, April 17, 2006
i am physically/mentally exhausted. went to religious class in the morning just now and i slept during ustad saifuddin's lesson.i was just way too sleepy i couldnt take it anymore.but luckily ustad saifuddin didnt say anything.i didnt even think he saw since i was sitting at the last row.he was talking about marriage and i slept through his lesson!!! argh.i cant believe i slept through such an interesting topic like that..sigh.. met azim at the bus stop and we boarded the same bus.it's so nice to be seeing and talking to an old schoolmate whom i haven seen for so long.had a nice conversation with him but it was short though since i had to alight before him. after that went for work.didnt meet ahmar in the end because i was late.was in charge of csr again.i am starting to not like my managers for putting me in charge of csr.ive been doing it this whole week.if they make me in charge of csr next saturday,im going to go crazy.but i came late so i couldnt bargain with them if i can do bar/service.anyway,yesterday worked for 10 hours.i was supposed to end at 6 but amjad told me to stay for another 2 hours since its a saturday.then i stayed for another extra hour because there were too many customers.so i did service for the extra 3 hours instead of csr.finally,leslie asked me to go home because my leg hurts.it's probably leg cramps or something,for standing up 10 hours straight. YESSSSS.im off for the whole week except for saturday.i probably need some time to myself,to be mentally prepared for school.i swear i can just stare into space thinking about everything in life.it's kinda nice and tranquil somehow.(: im planning to go jogging this week.ive been planning it for so long yet i never seem to have the time to do it.oh well.i'll see how things go first. to those starting school tmr,good luck for your first day and have fun (: what is happening right now? don't tell me our friendship is on the rocks.AGAIN.sigh. i cant believe i spent 40 bucks on a new pair of black shoes for work.grr.oh well.but its nice though.hehh.my old one was worn out.spent another 20 bucks on another pair of shoes.it's just too cute and cheap i had to get it.it's the last pair too.i am so bloody sick of spending my money.i think i need some professional help to make me stop spending so much.i MUST stop myself from buying anymore shoes. i didn't know that being a barista was this tiring.i am BLOODY EXHAUSTED.broke a glass yesterday.sigh.that's the third time already.syahibul was mocking me and saying 'you did it again'.sheesh.i just told him to shut up.lol.im really sorry.i didnt mean to shout at you.was pissed at thelma.i already gave her the tray for what she go and take the glass.sigh.because of that one of the glasses dropped.oh well.amjad was nice enough not to scold me.actually none of the managers do when something broke.weird huh?lol.i have to stop being a KLUTZ.oh well.doing the bar beats doing csr anytime. eight below is a very touching movie which was based on a true story.i'd rate it 3.5 stars out of 5.paul walker is hotttt.haha.(: im addicted to ice cocoa(sheena your fault la!hahaha).i shall not hesitate now to ignore buying anymore ice cocoa whenever i pass by a starbucks outlet although it might be darn tempting.ive already had it like 4 times this week.gosh.im spending too much money on that alone.ive got to stop this addiction.I MUST.i shouldnt even be drinking that since im still sick. sometimes things are just better left alone.like they say,ignorance is bliss.i dont give a shit what people say about me after what happened.i cant believe you just let them mock me all the way.how bloody nice.yes i had to endure the embarrassment and whatever shit they think i am.fyi,IT'S DAMN INSULTING.but i know i aint whatever they say so to hell with it. next week is orientation.siiiiiiggggghhhhhhh.then school's gonna start. :( Monday, April 10, 2006
FINALLY,i got that adidas bag.YAY.thanks to riduan from the adidas shop at tampines mall.he totally deserved that gems card. okay speech day on friday was alright la.surprisingly the guard let us in.what a shocker.actually the bloody guy security guard didnt wanna let me and sheena in but the lady guard allowed us to enter.first part of speech day was BORING.i nearly fell asleep.only the peformances kinda perked me up.band did well.im so proud of them.hehh.but speech day at the new building felt weird.it just didnt feel right like it used to last time. after that me and sheena went to bedok corner.ikan bakar was YUUMMMYYY.(: yesterday was supposed to work full shift but left at 5 because i wasnt feeling well.my throat fucking hurts like hell.i sound all funny.suddenly i felt so heaty.there's this throbbing pain in my head.i had to do csr..wanted to work till closing because somehow i prefer working at night compared to morning shifts.ive been getting morning shifts this whole week.sheesh.went for religious class just now,then headed for work with farhanah.she'll be in the school of applied science with me and and she's from my religious class too.YAYYYYY.lol.replaced yanna today.i wanted to work full shift badly to make up for yesterday since im feeling much better but durai asked me to go home.he said i look pale.oh well.the 45 minutes break i had was for nothing.got nagged by leslie because i took extra 15 minutes break.lol.but it wasnt my fault what.had to bloody queue up at the toilet.jeez. i'll miss you like nuts.promise me we'll keep in touch.(((: Thursday, April 06, 2006
ive received the temasek applied science school orientation 2006 programme highlights. duration:19,20,21 reporting time:8.45 am daily activities:9 am to 5.30 pm registration venues:lecture theatre 5/6/7/8 level 3 Concourse School of Applied Science fund raising activity:please bring at least 3 kg of any recycable items on 20 April 2006 im too lazy to type the rest of the stuff on the programme highlights.THEY'RE CRAZY.bring at least 3 kg of recycable items?!?WTH.im scaaaarrreeedddd for orientation.im not a big fan of meeting new people.in fact,i TOTALLY SUCK at it.oh well.i guess i just gotta keep smiling and stop giving that cold look(which is actually my natural look)and stop frowning(according to egg i have wrinkles already.AHHHHH.)they actually told us it was two days but it was changed to 3 orientation days.great.i have to wake up so early.ughh. work just now was alright.fortunately i didnt have to do csr.HEHH.surprisingly we had lots of customers today,so it wasnt that boring.kept me busy.but the best part is i received a GEMS card.YES A GEMS CARD!hahaha.it really made my day.got it from one indian guy.he wrote "thanks for the great service,keep smiling".god.i was so happy.didnt know that a GEMS card could really make my day.(= there was one fucked up customer though.i didnt serve that guy.lina and shafiq did.i saw what happened.he scolded lina.asked how come the pizza came first instead of the appetiser.JEEZ.who fucking cares if the pizza comes first instead of the huts platter?IT'LL ALL END UP IN HIS STOMACH ANYWAY.god.what an asshole.it's not like we're making him pay extra or something.BLOODY HELL.pity lina and shafiq having to entertain him.ohh yes.i met huda and shairul.they were celebrating their first year anniversary.HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GUYS (: it felt weird taking orders and serving them.but for some reason i was so happy to see them.i guess its been a long time since i last saw both of them. ohh.i went for the typhoid jab.LIKE FINALLY.i had to go to that creepy 7th floor where all the clinics are.ALONE. the jab was alright lah.kinda like an ant bite.but the doctor said it'll get red and swollen sooner or later. okay thats it.off to bed now.morning shift later. it feels so good to catch up on stuffs with my band mates.gosh i missed them so much.okay i wanted to blog about this last week but was too busy with work to do it.last friday went out with tj,ruth and sheena after speech day rehearsal.well we just went out to eat.really had a good time with them.though its just chatting and laughing together.those are the times that i'll really miss.sigh.but im seeing them again this friday.YAY.(: for goodness sake,IM NOT A FILIPINO/INDONESIAN.customers keep asking me if im local.sheesh.even my own manager who's a filipino said i look like one.LOL.anyway,ive been working for 7 days straight.although its tiring,it feels good though.i'll be working every single day this week except for friday and sunday.well actually im supposed to work on friday but i wanna take off because of speech day.supposed to be off on sunday but have to replace yanna. work today was so GOD DAMN BORING.i was in charge of csr(customer service relations).which means i have to stand at the entrance and greet customers and bring them to their seat.omg.IT'S BORING LIKE HELL.i was like an idiot just standing there and waiting for customers .furthermore today's a tuesday so not many customers came.time passed by so slowly at work.was supposed to eat together with yanna and junaidah after work since they ended at 5 also but leslie asked them to stay till the guys came,so i went off first.i hope im not doing csr tmr.nooooooooooooooo.but something cute happened just now.i took orders from this malay family.then the boy(i think he's around 4 years old or something)asked if there's egg.omg.it was so cute.he was like "mama i want egg"lol.so damn cute.then when they left he salam me!!! sooo cute!!!! haha.oh yeah tmr is the offical day i have to take the typhoid jab. i wonder whats in store for me in the future.im quite excited but scared.oh well.we'll just see how it goes. |
